Hey the screen on my laptop has gone all screwed up like everything is too big to fit in the screen and performance has slowed right down as well, does anyone know what's happened here?

Sounds like your graphics card malfunctioned. Have you tried changing the resolution back to what it was before?

yea I checked through them but there is no significant difference when I change the settings. I uninstalled something called an ATI programme manager and then the whole system just shit itself.

considering doing a factory default, cause this is really annoying me, now.

Why'd you uninstall it? A restore is the second-to-last thing you want to do.

Sounds like either a driver was installed that shouldn't have been, or a driver was uninstalled.

Go to Run (Windows Key + R), type in "devmgmt.msc". Hit the arrow next to display adapters, then right click on the video adapter listed and click "Properties". Click on the "Driver" tab, then click on "Roll Back Driver" (If it's available). If it's not available, click on uninstall.
If rolling back the driver fixes the issue, ignore the next step(s).
If one of the basic Windows drivers that should kick in isn't adaquit (As in, your computer doesn't go back to behaving as it should), re-install the driver for your video adapter by going to your manufacturer's website. (Or by getting it direct from the video adapter's manufacturer's website)

?? Isnt' Acer nice, I was halfway through using Brandons formula there and a little notification pops up saying I need an update, the system resets and everything is back to normal... weird. Anyway I may have to go back and complete your post though as when I queried what the video adaptar was sure enough it was this ATI install manager thing, so I may have to go back an redownload this software just in case it's needed for some applications to run smoothly. Thanks for the help anyway, guys :)

Oh and I deleted it because I was deleting programmes which I didn't recognise the manufacturer of becuase I recently downloaded a couple torrent managers and was trying to make sure they weren't doing that thing where they post their official name rather than public identity name so you can't find it to uninstall it.
