First date ideas

I want to ask this girl out and im having trouble coming up with date ideas
i was thinking the obvious movies but the closest theater is across a highway and all the rest are in different citys (also on highways
) plus im short on cash any ideas
ALSO:Is it really that bad if i had my mom drive us to the movies (keep in mind were 14)

Well would you rather walk or take a bus? It's totally fine for your parents to drive you for now, they'll understand and shouldn't be too embarrassing. Besides, what else will the girl expect, a chauffeured limo?
If you want to keep it simple, a nice walk around town or through a forest or park (depending on your area) is always nice if you stop and get lunch. That way you can talk a lot and get to know each other better. If your school has a winter formal or something like that you can go with her, but I don't recommend that (from personal experience).
I can't really think of anything else, but if movies are the number 1 thing, they obviously are for a good reason.

Food always tastes good on the first date, so no need to try and impress her with a big ticket meal.

Take her somewhere that reflects you. Something where you're doing something but also where you can talk and get to know each other. Have several things in mind, that way if one thing sucks you have an immediate backup plan and you're not stuck in the suck.

Personally, I would be rather embarrassed and uncomfortable if my mum drove to the cinema with my date. You could just get a cab or get the bus like Will said.
I think a walk around town is really nice, but I would do that on a second date. I think going to the cinema would be the best idea though. It would give you a chance to mess around and have fun with her! :)

i love the ice skateing idea but have a nice casual walk with her there and stop of a drink on the way i know girls like it i always do the same thing :) and they always like it.
