This in interesting. Of course people are getting desperate when it seems as though the justice system is not doing their job, they will take matters in their own hands.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A woman could face charges for trying to make sure registered sex offenders were not doing anything wrong on Halloween night.
Barbara Farris went door to door to more than 70 homes where registered sex offenders live in Orange County.
Farris says she wanted to make sure offenders were following state rules that prohibit offenders from passing out candy or decorating their homes on Halloween.
“I said - do you have decorations? You're a registered sex offender. And I blatantly asked,” Farris said.
But Farris could now face charges for harassment and misuse of the state sex offender registry following a complaint that she appeared to be impersonating an officer.
“I'll be fighting those charges 100 percent,” Farris said.

The law is the law, it's not for us to take into our own hands — unless that law is discriminatory, which in this case it isn't. She should've asked her local police department about her concerns instead.

Why not?

Why not?

Because regular people don't follow the same guidelines the authorities do, and that can be dangerous.

However, there are exceptions.

Why not?
Because regular citizens lack proper training, equipment and judgement. They would put themselves and others in danger.

Regular citizens should almost never be allowed to enforce the law.

It's harassment, pure and simple.
