My dad cooks though, like really cooks. We have a little "gay" joke running, but nothing personal of course. I don't, but it's very common in Louisiana. My aunt gets put out of the kitchen at thanksgiving. At all our food festivals (we've got tons of them) most of the cooks are men. seafood cooking in Louisiana is like grilling in the rest of the country.

I can cook/bake/grill/roll. I love cooking. Part of my personality is to please people as much as I can (one of the many reason why I'm a theater major) and why I love cooking.

By the way, when I say roll, I'm referring to sushi. Home made sushi is so much more delicious than going to a Sushi Bar for it. It just takes a little preparation, but once you have that it's fairly simple (sushi mats do wonders.)

Males can cook just as well as females. My dad has worked in the baking industry for most of his career and cooks all our family meals. He is a fantastic cook and I consider myself lucky to have him because not everyone benefits from this quality of food. It is just a very sexist, out dated stereotype.

My mom cooks from scratch 6 days a week and on one night we eat like a frozen pizza or take out

alot of women just cannot cook
many men cook professionally but alot of women surveyed found cooking too much of a chore where as men find it fun and stress releiving (cooking itself if you forget about the whole resteraunt hell)

many women can mix up a cocktail

but professionally men have mostly been chefs I can name 5 pro chefs and only 1 woman where as at home women cook


as to your original question I think guys that can cook are more reliable and more professionaly people because they can cook more than just ramen noodles or KD for themselves
