Tbh, does it matter to you that one person across the world out of thousands is being an idiot about believing your age? You know your 16, other people you talk to know you are, so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

The guy wasn't necessarily being an idiot for not believing you're 16 - a lot of people are extremely cautious when using the interwebs, so don't be surprised if people don't take you at face value.
