What Would Happen?

I've been wondering exactly what would happen if when I go to the doctors for my next exam. If he found my cuts then what would happen? I'm not sure if we have any mental hospitals(used for lack of better wording) and what would the cost be or is it free?

I'm not really sure weather it's the same... but in England, they have to keep it confidential unless they think you are in danger of committing suicide and they would not send you to a mental hospital straight away unless you where causing yourself really serious damage.

If they're obviously self-inflicted, they'll probably ask if you did them or not. Further than that, they probably won't do a thing except for asking your parents if you're medicated/seeing someone. You really don't have to worry about most doctors unless you're in there for stitches on a self-inflicted cut. Then they have a higher tendency to be nasty to you... but I've never had an actual problem when just seeing a doctor for a check-up or something unrelated to SI.

I'm sure there are many hospitals in NY, and depending on your insurance it'll either be free or relatively cheap. However, without insurance... a local hospital takes kids for $1500 per day (that'll vary from hospital to hospital.)
