I dont know if anyone on VT is into this but there is a huge commuity of gamers who play and collect "vintage video games' Like the Orginal Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Atari 2600, and Nintendo 64. If you dont know about any of these older consoles, I reccomend looking them up on youtube, because there are some great games for them that are just not as good as some games made today.

My first was an Atari2600, as it was cheap back then. Bought an NES-sinclair clone. Later then, bought an SNES. I used to play Sega MS, in my friend's house, he then brought a S MD, and then a Saturn :P. By the time he got a Saturn, I bought Playstation. Oh... those day were things of beauty... well, to me they were.

Until I was 9 I only ever had my dad's SNES. I honestly still prefer it to my Xbox 360, and I maintain that A Link to the Past was the best Zelda game of them all.

I owned both an NES and a Super Nintendo as a kid :P Those games are the ones I grew up on, even after they came out with all those new systems like N64, GC, PS, I was still playing the old ones.

I still play the original NES every once in awhile. Once I get a job I would love to start collecting :D

Although I seem to have a larger collection of 90's PC games

REally, like the older days of gaming seemed better. It was such a thrill.

These days it's usually just: shoot. kill. die. There's more variety, but at the same time, less variety. I guess when you're younger everything just seems so cool. Or maybe it's just sentimental..yeah...

N64, Genesis, Dreamcast, Playstation. The ones I had, man that's some nostalgia there. That's when games were two discs long (or on the tape) complicated and good. Now, it's all handed to you on a silver platter, everything given. Unlimited ammo, bullshit. Nothing hard or puzzling. The only game recently I played that still had that retro value which originate from the Playstation is Resident Evil 5. Though I recommend co-op otherwise it's impossible nearly. I wish games were made like they were then.
