It is a drug, and it does fall some where on the list of dangerous drugs (all drugs are dangerous to a degree). Sure, there are more dangerous drugs, but it is a drug and should be treated like one. That's why if it were legalized there would, of coarse, need to be restrictions.

Personally, I like smoking pot. I come from a neighborhood with an outstanding dropout/fuck up rate and so alot of people drink and smoke themselves stupid. I however, have a good balance of work n play in my life. I spend a majority of time making music or doing schoolwork, and alcohol can interfer heavily, so i especially discourage its use, but with pot i still feel in control and im not any less productive.

It's a very primal human need to change our surroundings. And for a very long time, people have been obsessed changing our modes of consciousness and the way we interact with reality and space around us. From a very young age, we enjoy spacial displacement (spinning around until we get dizzy, going down long slides and feeling our hearts leap) as a way to change our conscious experience. Roller coasters, hang gliding. We enjoy interacting with our selves and our physical manifestations of internal perceptions of the world. Weed is just another, and one of the best ways to do it because you cans stay in your house, stay still, and it lasts longer. When we experience reality in a different way, it allows us to question and redefine it for purposes of personal growth.

So no, weed isn't just for funny feelings and shits and giggles. Wether or not the smoker realizes it, they're satisfying their carnal human nature.

I used to smoke like it was my oxygen, had sleeping problems:/ although I have insanely high tolerance on pretty much everything so a toke usually ran me close to 120$ ( 1/2 o super silver haze) a week for my daily buzz to sleep. soon I got tired of the sketch and price so I switched to meds with my psychs. unfortunately my high tolerance lingers everywhere so I usually double or more my dosage as from doc orders, than switch to a new med every few months for a new clean slate to build a new tolerance lol. main point is, yes I smoked very very much, likely around 50-52 o' ( seriously no exaggeration, I'm actually pissed off by this fact) although I did enjoy smoking weed when it wasn't for sleeping, especially while watching movies and listening to music 0.0

Why is there such a negative rep on weed! You haven't tried it and you obviously haven't done any research on it so don't tell everyone you would rather physically harm your body then smoke something with little to no ill effects.

I never have, but am totally open to it. Before this year, I was against it. Thinking everyone who smoked it were just stereotypical potheads. But this year I met a bunch of people who smoked it, but weren't like that. They do sports, they do good in school. My best friend smokes it almost every day and gets straight A's does XC and track and drama

You're incredibly misguided. Marijuana isn't made for medical purposes; it's completely natural, just the dried leaves from cannabis plants. It has been used for thousands of years in tribes throughout human history and is shown to cause very little, if any harm to the human body - no deaths have ever been attributed to cannabis. Please do some research before making rash and unreasonable judgement.

Lolwat. Actually, Marijuana has been something that's stopped me from my behavior of self destruction. In fact, I'd like to say smoking weed has chilled me out many times when I was ready to blow my brains out. Not saying anyone should use it to be happy, but it definitely works for me and makes me happy.

Also, the only TRUE victims of marijuana is Taco Bell. They're forced to stay open until midnight because of stoners like me coming there at eleven PM buying the twelve pack, some of those cinnamon things, and a large dr pepper. Oh my fuck, I feel so bad for them. They must really hate us. I've thought about working there, because... it would just be the best place for a guy like me to work at.

And I'm not stupid when I smoke. I don't drive high, well, I don't drive period. I have a friend drive for me and if he's high I typically wait until he's not too high before we drive, because I like safety. Also, I'm not an outgoing smoker either. Man, I hate people who brag about it to everyone. I don't really care.

I've come a long way from the guy who was a complete fucking addict to tar and other things; my last loving addiction being xanax. Now I've pushed off everything, even cigarettes.

Weed isn't going to harm me like the things I was doing. I could of died any day on the shit I was on. Oh, and I know somebody would say lung cancer. Gimme a break. I know that risk. I'm ok with it. We're all going to die one day or not. I'll take a chance with my life.

not sure If I posted here, but yea I do. Helps with my anxiety and depression better than the meds themselves, so I'm hoping to get an mmj card once I turn 18. I like it a lot. Been smokin every week/day, because for me being anxious and depressed affects my grades and my performance a lot more than weed will ever do. When I was depressed I literally got all B's and C's, but I started smoking weed and ended up working hard and being rewarded with a 4.0 GPA.
