One of my friends recently told me something she hasn't told anyone. She told me about how she sees people in her head. Like she sees them watching her and she knows who they are. they aren't real people though. like the other day she told me about an American boy, a year younger than her. Watching her in her head. She says it makes her get self concious when she goes to the toilet etc. She said she knows that they aren't real but still feels paranoid about it.
Anyone know what this could be?
or how i can help her?

I'm not entirely sure but it sounds like Schizophrenia to me if she's seeing things that aren't there. I'm not entirely sure how to help her maybe get her to see a doctor because they'll know better than anyone. I hope things work out, feel free to message me if you need to talk.

I agree, it sounds like a form of Schizophrenia. But we can't diagnose her, a doctor can, so I would talk to her family (if you know her well enough) and tell them what she told you so she can get help because obviously it bothers her and she's in need of some type of help.

There are a very large number of things it could be, schizophrenia being just one possibility. Obviously, the best thing would be to convince her to see a mental health professional. Failing that, ask her about them. Ask her what she knows about them, does she speak to them, do they speak to her, does she ever have blackouts, do they ever take over, etc. You can even ask her if it's possible to talk to them.

She told me she can't talk to them, and they don't control her or anything they are just there and they watch her.

I'm really not sure what to suggest now, other than seeing a mental health professional. Does she have any history of trauma? When did they first appear? Have they ever talked to her? How does she know who they are?

She doesn't have a history of trauma no (as far as i know). They first appeared a few years ago, but they used to be very occasinally now it's much more often. They don't talk to her just watch. And she just knows... Like you do it dreams i suppose.

Yeah, go talk to mental health professional. There are too many possibilities, all of which go better if treated earlier.
