Need help with parents

Okay so I live in Illinois an my dream colleges in new York, a college my disabled-mom is against due to distance. How can I convince her that this is the best place for me to go? She makes me feel guilty for wanting to go, but it is my future. HELP!!

You should give her the pros of going to that college, and emphasize that it is the best choice for you, and that it offers everything that you want to do for your life.

Tell her how it can make your life better, every parent wants to see their child succeed. Tell her how it's been one of the things you've wanted to do, how it could expand your horizons. How in New York, you would meet new kinds of people, and see different things, you'd have the time of your life. I hope you get to go to New York in the end. :)
