Ya that's right this thread is about Jazz.
Feel free to comment, post songs, express your feelings towards the genre (positive or negative) or ask questions. I will be posting Jazz, Jazz fusion or jazz influenced songs.

I guess these first two would be classified as more typical jazz...

^ Miles Davis in his experimental years. This part 3 of a 4-part 32min long song, i recommend the whole song.

I do have a soft spot for jazz. It's great to listen to when you're trying to wind down.

I'm not really a fan of Jazz perse, but I won't turn it off. However, this right here is a big reason for that:

How about the motherfucking best jazz group in the whole fucking world? I mean, fuck! This jazz they play is just so beautiful, but yet so dark. Sunset Mission is one of my favorite albums ever.

Coltrane = Fucking God. His saxophone can make instant eargasms and make an eight your old's balls drop.

Jazz is AWESOME. I play in my school's jazz band (has gotten superior's every year)

One of my favorite semi-jazz bands is Chicago (Formally; Chicago Transit Authority)

Yeah, i used to be in a school band that played a lot of jazz. And then i moved to a school with a marching band that played barely any jazz at all.

...I quit playing the sax soon afterwards.

Coincidence?... i think not.

I probably post Bohren too much, but they're a unique jazz trio that stand out beyond most things I listen to. The first two albums they had were really nice chill albums with a guitar, also very slow and long albums. The albums after that went to a spookier jazz side with the saxophone.

Anything by John Coltrane is great jazz man. Any song he did would take ya through the trip with him. All the feelings and emotions. His songs are like musical conversations between the instruments. Ya can't go wrong with Coltrane...ever.

Sick music pads, man. Anyone own one, I wonder?

Oh... that's downtempo. I can chill to that.

But I want recommendations. Some very experimental stuff, like Sun Ra. And Jazzcore like Naked City. ^^

You won't find them on youtube, but 渋さ知らズ is one of the best free jazz ensembles out there. Crazy stuff. Anthony Braxton is an amazing avant garde jazz artist.

As for jazzcore, I suggest Shining and Le Scrawl.

Tartar Lamb and Tartar Lamb II are really good avant garde jazz projects by Toby Driver. Allot of people call it classical, which I don't really see that in this at all. But yeah, those two are amazing.

The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation released a new album called 'Anthropomorphic'. Really good stuff there too.
