whenever i'm finished peeing, there's always this burning or stinging in my penis and it really hurts :( I've heard it's an STD, but that's not possible because i'm a 13 yr old virgin. i haven't had sex with anyone. anyway, it's been like this since sunday, does anyone know the problem or how to cure it?

You could have picked up a UTI (urinary tract infection). Its not sexually transmitted, there's no shame in it. It would be best to go to your doctor, antibiotics will fix it.

i've also heard it could be healed by drinking cranberry juice because of a certain chemical in cranberries, is that true? can i use it to cure this without going to the doctor?

I dont know about that, but honestly, why mess about if it hurts. Its not a sexual thing, it just happens to people, dont be embarassed about it, get it sorted.

Painfull Urination or continually having to go, in the adolescent years, is usually a sign of a UTI or a bladder infection.

However, I've had it happen to me once and again for just a day, usually after i drink a strong citrus juice. Give it a day, if it doesnt go better I recommend scheduling an appointment with your doctor.

Like Nick said, It is possible that it could be a UTI. Since you have been feeling pain since Sunday, And now its Thursday I would say something is wrong. I would visit the doctor, better to be safe then sorry. Antibiotics should clear things up, but its getting them. Don't feel embarrassed about it, happens to the best of us and best thing to do is to get to your doctor in the next few days. Just talk to your Mother/Father about going to doctor about having issues down there and they should understand.

Good Luck!

James,

Like the members have said above me, it sounds to me like you have a urinary tract infection (UTI for short), which could be caused by a bunch of different things. There's no clear-cut way to tell exactly how you got it, but it's not an uncommon problem and is easily treatable.

Yes, cranberry juice does an excellent job at removing the toxins from your body. Start off with that first, and if the problem is still there, then ask your parents to make you an appointment with a doctor.

I had a UTI before and this happend before I got diagnosed. It's nothing to worry about. You will just need to take antibiotics and drink cranberry juice and water. to clean out your system

This or an acid / other chemical imbalance.

If it smells, then it's most probably a UTI. It there's no odour, it's most likely a chemical imbalance.

You could be not drinking enough water, which would make your urine more acidic, but i've never heard of that being painful. Most likely it is Cystitis, Its caused by a bacterial infection.

You need to flush it out, drink plenty of water, lots of vitamin C, cranberry juice is very good, and keep nice and warm. You can also get antibiotics for it from your practitioner I believe, which may be helpful.
You need to get rid of it, otherwise it the infection may spread upward to your kidneys, where it will be much much much more painful and unpleasant, and harder to get rid of.
Also herbal remedies and homeopathics like echinacea tea and pulsatilla are good.

I've had cystitis, it wasnt pleasant, but I stayed at home with hot waterbottles, and did as I've told you. It passed after perhaps 4 days.
