Basically, I went to an Irish College (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaeltacht#Irish_colleges) and there was this girl.

I really really liked her but I'm waay too shy so I only ended up talking to her about her bracelet (I know it's lame). Problem was that I hate getting embarrassed (in front of my friends). Anyway I only talked to her once i.e. she doesn't know my name.

I had to leave it early and only one of my friends stayed. He managed to add her on facebook.

I kinda want to forget about her but I can't stop thinking about her. Any time I think about her it gets me in a good mood.

I don't know what to do.

It sounds like the two of you barely had any interaction. It might not be a good idea to pursue this, since you don't like being embarrassed and may not really have all that much to say to her if you get into contact via Facebook or whatever - could become awkward.

Consider your options first, yeah you like her now, but you don't really know her that well, she could turn out to be a totally diff. person to what you first thought.
There's the 'plenty more fish in the sea' thing too.
Of course, if you're dead set on chasing her, then you'll want to be considering things such as where do you want this to end up and will it be worth it in the end?

Just IMO.

No one can really tell you what you want, you're the only person that actually knows what is going on in your head, it's just trying to de-clutter and see what you want as clearly as possible. If you can do this, you should get a better idea :)

If youre friend gets to know her a little better, maybe you could go with him on like a double date or something, just to experiment with the relationship.
