What are your thoughts on the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882? This law banned the immigration of Chinese people from the United States. This made Chinese people the only people not allowed to immigrate to the United States. I for one think it's a part of our history that we should not be so proud of. What's your take on this?

There are plenty of things that the United States shouldn't be proud of. Part of patriotism is admitting your country's not perfect. That way, you can help make it a better place.

This is just like asking Australians whether they're proud of the White Australia policy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Australia_policy). As an Australian citizen (who is half Thai), I'm certainly not.

I think this is stupid, although, i think that all countrys should merge and all govornment shoudld be shut down, but its stupid how one HUMAN BEING can not go to a certain part of the land they live on, because they were born someone, they had no choice, so why should they be put through it.
