OK, so I need to apologise to my Mum after we had a bit of a big argument over when I started my secondary school because I need to know for when I apply to a sixth form/college. I was convinced that I was right, right until I walked out the room and remembered something and worked out that I was actually wrong and she was right. The thing is, if I admit to her I was wrong then she'll go on about it for a million years, you know shit like "You don't listen to me" etc. I don't particularly want to hear that shit ATM. So what is the best way of apologising to her for saying that she is wrong etc?

Well, I mean this in the nicest way, man up. It take's balls to admit that you're wrong, but sometimes you just have to do it.

OK, I'm prepared to do that but how do I deal with her going on about her being right and that I should listen to her etc?

Accept it, swallow your pride. It wont last for ever. You can always say "OK, so I was wrong, no need to keep on about it".
