Just wondering what your opinion is. Personally, I think guys have it easier, not to offend any of you guys. ;) Guys have a harder time getting past physical appearance than a girl does, so it's harder for a girl to find a guy that likes her for who she is and not what she looks like, or vice versa. I see a lot more pretty girls dating just average guys than I see super sexy guys dating average girls. Also, girls have to deal with the pressures of fitting in and looking a certain way, but guys really don't. Just my opinion, anyway.
What are your thoughts?

I can see where your coming from, but about the whole idea of fitting in is true for anyone.

It's hard to judge which gender has it "harder". Men have to work and traditionally provide income for the family. Women have to raise children. There's bias towards women being "objects" and judged solely on appearance, while there's bias towards men being all athletic and strong.

The way I see it is if you weigh all the factors, men have it easier.

Yup, I think men have less to deal with, they still have some stuff that I guess would be hard but I don't think it's anything compared to what girls have to go trhough.

Girls have more bitchiness to deal with from other girls and also have to try harder to impress guys...

Wait :P I think guys have it harder with dating and girls, they have to impress too, and from what I have seen guys are always pressured into dating and they get made fun of because they don't have girlfriends or stuff like that.

Do girls really think it's hard to impress guys, or that impressing guys is even necessary?

Umm YES? It is really hard, plus we always feel like we're not good enough for the guy we like so we have to try hard to impress. Sometimes it works :P
It's the same for guys, right?

If a girl were to walk up to a guy she liked and asked him out I feel comfortable saying that +75% of the time he'll say yes even if he's never talked to you before.
EDIT: And if the two are decently acquainted and he says no, there's no longer a point in trying.

I really don't know, it's kinda tough because they both have different issues that they have to deal with. For men the stereotype generally was always having to work, not being allowed to show any emotion, not living as long from working so much, etc but for women it was having to have the children and raise the family and stuff so it just depends.

In the end, it's down to an individual level. The person who goes through life not giving a shit has it easier.

I won't get down to the nit and grit of this subject, because people can debate for years on end about this.
But I think that girls have it harder in a sense, because society and the media pretty much sets a profile that says "if you don't look like this, you're not beautiful or correct". Also women have a lot of physical things going on that guys never experience (like menstrual periods).
Also looking at biology, it would almost appear that women were built to be inferior (not that they are). I mean, having a child is in a sense up to the man (with or without consent, but that's for a different discussion), men ARE biologically stronger than women in a general sense mainly because muscles for men grow at a faster rate.
Socially girls have it harder too because of stereotyping of women and whatnot.
...I could go on and on, but basically girls have it harder than guys, but it never ceases to amaze me how they somehow soldier through it better than any guy could. :)

Well, girls certainly go through a lot more pain than boys. Girls have periods, pregnancy, then birth to deal with. Boys have none of this. Guys also do not face being turned down for a job, promotion, or pay for being pregnant.

Neither. The biology, and Psychology, of a persons body varies so much among the worlds population that it would better to do it person to person. That being said the affects of one's biology effects different people differently.

Girls get the short end of the stick physically.
In the US at least, men get the short end of the stick legally and psychologically.
