Everyone gets those friend requests on facebook\vt\anywhere else, from people you don't know... What's the point? Personally, i don't add anyone idk and i don't confirm anyone i don't know.
Do you think that you should confirm people that you don't know? Is there any diffrence between VT and facebook?

I personally don't add anyone I don't know, because I have too much personal info on FB, like my school and my city and all that. VT is different because you don't have as much information about yourself available for others to see. I also hate when I get requests from people I never talk to, if you're not my friend there's really no point in adding you. :P

In response to OP;
Generally people who add you but don't know you either have nothing better to do in their lives at that moment, they're 'random adders' aka they think you're hot, or they're paedophiles.
Personally, I don't add people I don't know and sometimes I'll have a sweep of Facebook to delete people I don't know.
For me, VT is a little different, because I don't know anyone anyway, so I might as well accept people who look fun or whatever ^^

@Amore, not to lecture you, but you shouldn't have too much personal data on Facebook anyways. I guess if you're not adding people you don't know then it doesn't matter as much (provided you're set to private). Sorry, I just said I wasn't gonna lecture you and then did XD
I agree with your point about people who you never talk to. I always get a load of 12 year olds from my school adding me... I'm like "look, if I don't talk to you in person, what would I have to say to you online?"

I don't accept people i don't know... although i have a lot of people on fb that i know of. If you get me. Like some of my bf's friends or friend's bfs that i don't really know but... yeah :P I don't add people from my school i never talk to. or accept them because the only reason they want it is so they look like they have lots of friends... but i'm not there friend so :P
And VT i think is different, because you don't know anyone really and they've probabaly just seen you around or whatever and are interested in what you have to say :) They may want to talk to you and add you in order to see if you'll accept... basically to see if you want to talk iygm :P

I do add them. I also send out many friend requests to people i dont know. Its my way of making friends from around the world. It really doesnt matter to me because a stranger is just a friend waiting to happen. :)

I add only people that go to my school. I accept only people that go to my school

but I never go on Facebook anymore. It's boring.

on VT I accept all friend requests because it's completely different from FB.

I think people just like to brag about how many friends they have, no matter how many of them they actually know.

I have eight friends on VT and two on facebook (well, I just made my facebook page... o.O)

Way to fucking generalize. If I add someone I don't know, it's because I think they're interesting. Seriously, don't try to pull out bullshit statistics, or "generally..." unless you have some sort of source/proof.
