I noticed that Morrowind was in a bargin bin for like £5 so I had no choice but to buy it, after being a fan of Oblivion I thought it would be worth a try and this will also be my first proper PC game. I was worried it wouldn't work on my laptop, but it seems to work without a hitch as it's as smooth as i'd expect Oblivion to run as. The game is kinda old but it's still fun, my only complaint would be the controls, I should probably get a USB mouse or something for it but I don't really like holding down keyboard buttons to move.

Anyway, what are your thoughts for the game and could you recommend any other games that would work on my laptop that may be good? I'm using an Acer Aspire 5535 btw

Morrowing is definetly great. The biggest difference between oblivion and Morrowind is that in Oblivion the stronger you are your enemies are getting stronger as well. In Morrowind, you go stronger and just go and fight stronger monsters. Personally i prefer the Morrowind attitude. ermmm, morrowing got 2 expansion packs that are recommended as well, BUT they are good for you after you complete the main plot in Morrowind because the monsters are tough.
If Oblivion worked than Obviously Morrowind will work too. Other games? I play mostly strategy games, so obviously: Starcraft (the first one, cu i'm not sure how your pc will run the 2nd), Warcraft 3, Sacred, Sims 2(i know, i know), Overlord (1 maybe two), Desperados (both, i especially recommend the first one), and lots more... Enjoy yourself

I got Morrowind quite recently. And it is my first rpg on PC.

I am also RTS kind of guy. But want to blend RPG and RTS? Then try Heroes of Might and Magic 5.

How about demigod? It seems decent, though an attempt to rip-off DotA.

DotA became a genre now, despite being a mod for WCIII: TFT back then.
Now there are few decent number of DotA-like games.

My PC cannot handle Oblivion, so it of with Morrowind.

The Orc race is useless... I should have picked the Nords. Viking people kick ass, you know.

DotA still remained strong even though other, more graphic intensive games like it have already been released. It's just like Counter Strike, nothing can beat the classics.

I laughed so hard when I picked the Nord class and they turned out to be a bunch of crazy Celts! :P
I had Oblivion for PS3 so I wouldn't know if my laptop could handle it.

And get yourself a mouse, man.

Yeah, Nord is still my favourite. I dislike Imperials(though, they have the other goodies) Nord are a warrior class, so... I pick Breton or High Elf if I am into magic and stuff.

I haven't played a lot. I mean, I just got from last week. Some certain psychic surge going on about people playing Morrowind. :evil2:

YESS!!!!!!! I just woke up on the boat and seen the first guard walking down towards me and I was just thinking "jesus, either this guy's got mental problems or he's just shit himself"

And these guys can't run ! I played Morrowind when I went to Germany as an exchange student, and I was joking around in Morrowind ( Joke? Well I had just assaulted someone ) and I saw several guards running at me, but they were like running in slow motion WHILE shitting in their pants :D
Ahh calum, we get along just fine
