I would never do that to my kid, even if I was whatever religion that does it.
I mean, I don't think it should be up to the parent in my opinion.
If when the kid is old enough to make his own sensible decisions, then he should be allowed to choose.

It's not the sort of thing you choose to do later in life...
Not usually anyway.

And it's Judaism that says boys should be circumcised.

I wouldn't circumcise my child, no.

I believe they can make their own decisions for themselves. I wont have it done when they are born. If they choose to do it later in life thats there decision. I dont think its right for parents to make that decision for you.

I read a lot of things about guys have circumcision problems too, for instance cutting off the whole penis, ( http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/04/lawsuit-claims-botched-circumcision.html ) . plus it really isnt hard to clean.

I'm am and I don't care either way for myself, as I don't know the other way. But I wouldn't have my son circumcised. Because I think that is his decision to make on his own, second if there is no reason to do so, then why put a child in pain for it. I can understand that if it is causing an issue down there, then hell cut it off. But for useless purposes, no. Also there is a reason its there, You think the human body would have things that were useless? Why do you have toes on your feet? Keep balance, Why do you have a foreskin?

From HealthCentral.com

http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/9987.html
(http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/9987.html)
The foreskin has three known functions: protective, sensory, and sexual.

During infancy, the foreskin is attached to the glans and protects it from urine, feces, and abrasions from diapers. Throughout life, the foreskin keeps the glans soft and moist and protects it from trauma and injury. Without this protection, the glans becomes dry, calloused, and desensitized from exposure and chafing.

Specialized nerve endings in the foreskin enhance sexual pleasure.

The foreskin may have functions not yet recognized or understood.

Puberty For Boys:arrow:General Questions.

This is being moved because it could also be answered by girls as well. As a woman has the child and has a say.

I think if I were to ever "have" a kid, I would circumcise. Reasons being, it's just a cleaner and less complicated way in my opinion.

I wouldn't. Religion = SHIT, besides, i don't want my child judged because of his dick.
If my boy (in a grown enough age) says the he wants ho cut his genital, i won't hold him back, but i will explain to him what are the cons, and if he still wants it i will support him. I don't think this decision is up to me.

Tricky, I've grown up with the cut penises being the norm, but since I've moved to Europe cut penises are rare.

And my boyfriend is Jewish but he doesn't gives two shits about whether or not to circumcise a kid. I don't think he would want to though, and neither would I. But I'm not sure. I guess it'd be up to our kid whether or not he would want the skin off his penis.

No, his internal organ (glans) should stay internal and not become dry and less sensitive over the time, and count for the nerves that are in the skin itself which aren't in the shaft skin. An intact penis looks much better and is NATURAL. No need to change what mother nature gave us at birth. Just a side note, I am circumcised and don't find it pleasing.

I will not have my son (if I have one) circumcised unless there is a medical reason to have it done, and, even then - it must be very severe to have it done. I will however, ask, him when he comes of age if he wants to be circumcised, and, if he says yes - then I will have it done.

It's could the internet and there really isn't anything to explain, most boys will figure it out on there own. And you just explain to him what happened to you and not to him, nothing hard.

"Only clean what is seen."

It is THAT simple to take care of a baby boy's intact penis. Look up circumcision care. You need to care for the wound, check for adhesions and make sure it doesn't re-attach, and a whole lot more.

The removal of a perfectly healthy part of someone else's body for cosmetic reasons is something I won't be doing, especially when they are absolutely no health reasons.

I obviously don't know your individual situation, but generally speaking, a lot of "tight foreskins" are mis-diagnosed. Seperation can happen anywhere up to (and even past) the start of puberty. There are a lot of steriod creams and other methods to loosen up a foreskin that don't require amputation.

Circumcision is a cruel thing to do to a new born boy. Can we bring the whole baby home people?

Suffer what? So your penis is missing some useless skin. I really don't see the big deal. It's just a matter of preference.

It's not a life-altering decision. A tiny bit of skin is being cut off, not a whole arm.

The skin is not really useless, it keep your internal organ (glans) covered; this keeps it wet which keeps sensitivity. Over time your penis loses sensitivity because of the glans rubbing against your underwear, sheets, diaper in your early days, ect. This is not suppose to happen hence the reason we are born with foreskin.

It's a sex life-altering decision.

Did you know if they mess up on a circumcision they will either leave a messed up penis or change the poor boy into girl. Why risk that?

So like a vagina.
that was a joke. go on and laugh.

In terms of sensitivity, I don't think the difference is too significant. It's not like you can experience both and then compare them. (Well, you can, but I personally don't think it's worth getting cut when you're older. If it's going to be done at all, it should be done to mindless babbies.)

It's a sex life-altering decision.

I'm pretty sure they'll enjoy sex regardless.

I did know that. The chances of that happening are pretty low; otherwise it wouldn't be done so often. Besides, what is life without risks?

SenorGrand
October 6th, 2011, 05:19 PM

I feel that there are some exxaggerations.
First, for uncircumcised guys it is not a sensitive glans that gives more pleasure, it is foreskin itself. This is what makes a biggest difference. And too sensitive glans is not a pleasure at all. With being sexually active glans desensitises anyways even with foreskin.

Being circumcised does not alter your sex life as much as you may think. Certainly it changes your masturbation techniques, but not your masturbation or having sex frequency. And not so much pleasure you get from orgasm, as orgasm happens in your brain. What is most affected is what you feel during foreplay. It may take longer as you feel less.

But this I agree to, it is absolutely unneccessary to circumcise boys at birth and without their consent.

Mutilation or maiming is an act or physical injury that degrades the appearance or function of any living body, usually without causing death

As far as the "mindless babies" comment, look up some photos. Look at those "mindless babies" howling in agony. Pretty "mindless", right?
