Shes into older guys + Friend Zone= FML

Hey guys, found this forum by google and I can tell im going to like it xD But heres my situation!

I am a freshman in High School, I have this crush on a girl who has so much in common with me its not even funny. Sadly, I have fallen into the friend zone with her (she told me I am her best friend). She also is into older guys I think. Since she says im like her best friend she tells me things that she doesnt tell other people and she told me she has 'secretly' been going out with this senior for about 2 months now.

I've met the mate, hes a douche and everything. Shes 'secretly' going out with him because her friends dont approve of him because hes has a 'past'. They dont like him rightly so though, I fail to see how anyone could be into him, hes that big of an asshole to everyone.

I dont know what to do. Should I forget trying to go for her and just move on?

I can see you have a an issue here. I am also in sort of the same situtation as you. What I would reccomend is try to spend some more alone time with your friend and really start bonding with her and maybe she will become attached yo u. Do you if she thinks your cute anything. And dont let that senior know about you liking her, you do not want to get beat up.

If you're still seeking advice, you have two options:
a) What mzhockey said, because that is very good advice. or

b) Move on. This girl is doing the typical freshman girl thing. Girls are still more matured than most guys at this point in their lives, so they believe they should date/hang out with older/maturer guys. The reason you've fallen into the friend zone is because, like you said, you have so much in common. You two together could form a near perfect relationship, which is not always good, because there is never worry or fear or surprise in the relationship, and without those things relationships can get old quick. If you want a better chance, stop trying to be exactly like her and be more of yourself or change a little. Girls (should in my opinion) like guys that are confident and themselves, not something they aren't.
