Currently there is in existance a community called the UK/USA community that exists as an agreement that allows the freedome of all military communication between the USA and all British Commonwealth nations (UK, CAN, AUS, NZ) i've just had a thought that what if there was some kind of offical Union created between these countries some of the greatest in the world, Freely opening it's borders to and from citizens and having a seperate Union Political assembly (since differant political methods are used: Senate, Parliamentary) in which overall world issues could be discussed but local powers where still maintained. A similar system to how the E.U works only with a set number of elected officials voted in by each member country with an equal number of polititions included and the current United States, with States maintaining a great local power in their area. This Union could be incharge of negotiating the likes of Trade Barriers between members as well as Union finances etc.

Forum feel free to burn the shit out of this idea but personally with all it's flaws I would practicly weep for joy if this where to happen in this weird mood i'm in... now to think of the name for my greatly beloved idea of global (I suppose English mutation based culture) the United States of America/Commonwealth band of excited brothers?!?!?
Come on you have to commend this overly stupid patriotic idea for those who don't like the E.U or conspiracys of a North American Union :D

I do like the notion. As long as the sovereignty of the member states was maintained then I think it could work.
