Where you are in the world, do you have free refills at restaurants, etc.? I do, and I cherish it because I was in St. Thomas two years ago and there wasn't free refills everywhere. :P (Refills as in drink refills)

Do you mean eat as much as you like? You would only get that at places like Chinese Buffet restaurants here, where you help yourself and can go back to the counter as often as you like. Also some carvery restaurants, where basically you get a roast dinner, will allow you to go back for seconds.

We have a few all you can eat places here, but when it comes to free drink refills we don't have anywhere that does it where im from. England is quite cheap when it comes to spending money, if they don't have to they won't do it :P

Yea because we have proper wages for the workers in restaurants and its made up for by the drinks
water is usually free though if its a proper restaurant

Psh, the wages might be bad in the US, but the restaurants still rock, and the refills are You can't honestly think that paying to get more drink really makes the waiters/ waitresses get paid more.

The moneys got to be made from somewhere
and its generally drinks
which is a fail cos if they do take out then you just buy the food and go to a supermarket and get a 2 litre bottle for like a pound rather than a glass for a pound
really here its generally only big franchise restaurants that do free refills
especially since alot of the places that do food are pub restaurants so itd be a bit of a business fail to have free refills at a pub

Except for the mall, they do that at all restaurants where I live. When I go home to Ireland in the summer, it drives me mad that I have to either pay for a huge drink, or pay for a small multiple times.
I do believe I have been in America too long.... :P

One thing I love about Ay-merr-ic-cah is the free refills. It's like an orgasm of soda.

Where I'm from in Australia pretty much, Macca's and Hungry Jacks (Burger King to most people) and a few other fast food type places are the only places. Mostly all restaurants and pubs/ cafe's whatever, you pay the same amount for each drink. It's stupid, most decent places will charge $3-$4 for each glass of Coke. I try not to drink when I go out

Most places I dine offer free refills to dine-in customers only. Say I walk into a fast food restaurant, and order a meal to go. You're not supposed to refill your cup while you're waiting for your food (I've done it, but only because I was insanely thirsty... no one ever stopped me).

99% of places here do. It essentially costs the company about 2 cents for the refill (because large amounts of syrup are cheaper than individual cans/bottles).

You get free refills on pretty much every drink here, including milk. Humpty's makes you pay for refills on milk here though. The only bad side to the refills is they dont leave much room for actual food to me.

One percent of places of (whichever "I" state you live in :P) don't do free refills? That's weird since every single place in Georgia has free refills.
