so the other day i was watching a television show online from the UK (im in the US) and the rating wasnt bad or anything but there were naked chicks flashing around everywhere... so whats up with that? are the laws about nudity over there different?

Depends, the rating systems are close-ish. Was it on the show itself or maybe they were ads.

Yeah. The reality shows there are usually less censored. At least from what I've seen.

I must be watching the wrong programs!

Programs are not rated as such, but there is a guideline that nothing to sexy or violent should be shown before 9pm. Also the program announcer will usually give a warning before the start of the broadcast if a program contains scenes of sex or violence.

Only thing I know about british programmes is that they are dead.
My dad watches shows in BBC Channel and when credits end, you see that the show is from 2006 !

So dead that Simon Cowell is bringing the X Factor to Britain, Piers Morgan is taking over from Larry King and Hugh Laurie is the top earning TV star in America. Not to mention Paxman, Clarkson, Gervais etc if British television is dead then what was it like at its peak?

That show deserves a reward for the amount of times it's made me cringe!

Shameless is brilliant. The original Queer As Folk was just outstanding. I love Spooks too.

Yeah, I'm a fan of a few British shows (maybe more if OP tells us what he was watching). Doctor Who is probably one of the best shows ever made, Skins is pretty good (that's the one about the supernatural creatures right?), that show about surviving in a dystopia was pretty good.

Yes it is actually, they have much more freedom in foreign countries with nudity.
