I've had this a few times (iPhone 3G 8gb) Personally hate apple now. Going to get a good old windows phone - Anyway the help! To sort this out plug it in to your pc open up the page where you see your ipod screen and can move apps etc and remove them. That should do it pal! hope this works.

It should transfer from your ipod if you have bought it because it will register as a transaction between your account and Itunes.

Can it authorise my account if it's not connected to the net?

*clears throut* I SHALL SAVE THE DAY!
lol

Once you buy something off itunes, you can download it onto ur computer *even if you downloaded it to your ipod first*

No you cant authorise your account without the internet either Matthew. Go to the app store (on ur ipod) and check for any more downloads (updates) and update them, the app should then fit back into line for download.

Reboot your iPod by holding the Home and Lock button for 10 seconds and it will hardrestart. That should clear away any downloads. Then if you go back on to the iTunes store and click the app and download like you did the first time, it will stop you and tell you that you've purchased it before and allow you download it for free.

Hope that helps. :)

When you say this you should ALWAYS note that it removes all the data.

Ignore it. Connect to iTunes. Use itunes to download. Job done.
