Hi,

I'm 12 and I've been 'in' puberty for nearly 4 years now. I am in year 7. I have small breasts, so small you almost can't see them when I'm wearing my school uniform. I have pubic hair in the pubic region, and also underarms. Been getting discharge for 4 years. I get yellow discharge in patterns. Every 2 weeks or so, for about 8 days. Lately it has been really heavy and has bad odor. I havn't had my period yet though.
Almost all of my freinds have had their periods, and have visible breasts.
Should I be getting my periods soon? Disregard my age, that doesn't matter.

Please tell me what you think!

if you only 12 dont worry about it, your just what they call a "late bloomer"

nothing to worry about, lots of people go thought that one.
as for anything else in your post...im sure others will jump in and answer them

Oh darn. Now that's not fair! Can I please be excused? I'll turn 13 in 3 months, and I know plenty about puberty and stuff. Can I please stay here?

And with the discharge stuff, like I get heaps of it like every day and I have been for the past 4 years. I thought after 1 year of having it, you got your period. Is there something wrong with me?

12 years old, for most girls, their breast don't usually start growing until exactly at age 13, but there are exceptions on a few girls who started puberty earlier on due to some problems. the yellow discharge doesn't sound very good. i would have that checked out by the doctor, you should be starting to get your period in another year in a half by my estimation.

they should make it for people who had started puberty.. not for 13 year old and older.. and 12 is preteen so she's technically a teen for me.. and girls start puberty before boys so i think she should stay here.. plus there's crap like depression and eating disorders on this site and i've been depressed and had a eating disorder for about 4-5 years and i'm only 14

Dont give her crap for being 3 months under 13, big deal. She needs help, this is a good place to get it.

I didnt get noticeable breasts until 7th grade, but mine started growing in 5th grade. I reached a C cup in 7th grade, I think I was early. But, most girls dont get larger breasts until atleast 8th grade. Its fine if they arent big, no need to worry. You'll be in puberty till you turn like 18, you've got plenty of time.

I got my period in the 6th grade, most of my friends got it around that time as well. What Ive heard is that you dont get your period until a year or so after your breasts start developing, and I never had any of that discharge stuff until a year after I started my period. I get it too, like every day, but it doesnt smell and it's clear. I just use a light days liner for that problem. Id always heard that if it smells or is any other color than clear, that you need to see a doctor, could be a yeast infection or something similar - get it checked out.

Also about the hair, I got underarm hair in the 6th grade, and pubic hair maybe in the 7th? But my hair grows very fast, I shave every day :P

Hope that helped some, if you have questions or need to talk, send a PM or an IM.

its a legal thing rather than a age thing, notice that box you click when you sign up, says you agree and are over 13. i dont know the specifics, but you have to be 13 to share any information over the net. im sure if she got a parental note, or e-mail for that matter, there would be no problem.

notice the 13 rule goes to any site..
