I thought this would be a good idea for a thread, sorry if it has been made before.
what was the last movie you watched (cinema/dvd) and what would you rate it out of 10 and why ?
thankyou very much, Jimmy.
I will kick things off, the last movie i saw was The Town (Ben Affleck) id give the movie 7.5/10 , very enjoyable although at times slow and i thought the movie could have been condensed down a little bit, but overall very enjoyable and i do reccomend it.

Great idea. Last movie I saw was Brick. It was great. Pretty interesting take on old detective films (film noir). Keeps you interested the whole time, even though the invented slang and fast paced dialogue can make hard to keep up with, but in general a great innovative film with great performances, especially from Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Overall 8/10 I'd say, cause the characters aren't that relatable, but then again, none of the characters from the 40s films were that interesting or complex either, they were just average joes, so there u go.
The thread is a great idea btw, hope it catches on

Also a great thread idea.
Last movie I saw was Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I don't think you want a review from someone who's part of that "cult" following. I will always give it a ∞/10 XD

Yeah, wonderful idea XD
Last movie I saw was "Gran Torino" with Clint Eastwood. I give it an 8/10, not so much because of the acting, but because it's so damn funny! The rascist cracks made me laugh, and they happen enough that I was laughing for most of the movie. The ending was terrible, however, and could have been majorly improved. :D

Last one I saw at the movies: Let Me In
definitely not as good as the original, but it brings the story much closer to the boy's character. Its much more his point of view, which makes I guess more manipulative, whereas in the original, you had more of an omniscient view of the story, so the end was a bit more ambiguous, but over all a great remake, and both lead performances were amazing. 7/10

The fighter (Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale.)
The movie was sensational, lead by two unbelievable performances by Wahlberg and the disfunctional brother Christian Bale. I never liked Christian Bale prior to this movie, but i gathered alot of respect for the man after his performance in this movie. Although it is a pretty basic plot and predictible ending, the strength of all the characters outweighs that comfortably. Thuroughly enjoyable and will deffinetely see it again.
9/10

Biutiful. The film is beautiful and Javier Bardem is amazing. The director of the film is the guy who made Amores Perros, 21 Grams, and Babel, and he really has compassion for all of his characters. No matter how broken their lives are or if what they do is morally questionable, he believes that people are essentially good natured, and that's what makes this film so beautiful. The main character is so flawed and broken, but he loves his children and family and that is what makes him a better person in some ways.
The music is also amazing.

127 Hours - This insperational story, turned film is one i watched with very high expectations, and to my utter delight, it delivered in spades.
I have never been a fan of James Franco but he has impressed me greatly with his perfromance in this film.
The film itself is very well directed and delivers a lot of emotionality, i'ts very well told, although at times slow, it makes up for it with raw emotion. 8.5/10 very enjoyable film indeed.
The Green Hornet - I never really held high expectations for this film, infact i did not even really want to watch it, but i had a change of heart and thought that i would give it a go, and it was exactly what i expected it was going to be, TERRIBLE.
Another Seth Rogan film that just is not funny, i dont think Seth Rogan should ever be the main character in any film, as i do not find him funny in any way, shape or form. He is famous for playin an overweight idiotic stoner, and he cant even do that. If you want to see an actor play a good stoner, watch Orange County, and watch Jack Blacks role, now that is a good stoner.
I give the movie a generous 2/10, it was not funny, it was poorly acted, and it was a 100 minute snooze fest.
