Tired of this cycle

So i did it again. Suprise suprise, not. im fed up of repeating this cycle.

I cut, for about 3-5 days. Then i stop, each time i stop its for one or two days longer than the last time i stopped. then i start again.

I dont know why. I used to do it for many reasons. now there doesnt even seem to be any reasons why. i just like feeling in control, But i know im not.
Its the sense of relief and the burning pain afterward that im addicted to. well i think thats what it is, i dont know anymore.

Does anyone else do this?

Yeah I always cut for couple days then I get too worried about someone seeing it and then I stop. But I can't say how long I stop for cause I don't really count. But after a bit everything gets too much I do it again.

Even though you keep relapsing, think about the positive side to it - everytime you stop, you stop for longer, I'd say, just focus on that and try not to think about the relapse too hard. Just keep trying to stop and eventually you will :)

Yeah i also used to cut for a couple days then stop,so i understand.
my SH was also to do with being in control of this, because im not in control off anything else in my life.
At least your lasting loner each time which is really good, keep that up. But ultimately try and stop, i know its hard but it will be worth it when your free from it.

I seem to go a couple of weeks then do it again, so I know what you mean about the cycle
But its good that you go longer each time, maybe keep focused on that, that you are able to go for more and more days each time
I also like to feel in control, but a couple of days before I do cut, I loose control and even though I know whats gonna happen I cant seem to stop it, I know how you feel

I'm in a cycle of it too. Mine isn't really regular. Like one time i'll go 2 days next i'll go 18. Either way it's a cycle that's hard to break.

think everyone will be in some sort of cycle, atleast when you stop it takes you longer to start again :)

I use to be in a cycle, except mine was moving in the opposite direction. Good thing yours is a longer period between! Keep on trying and good luck!
