New friends

So I think I need new friends. The friends that I have now are starting to be the kind of people I hate. There's a kid with mental problems and a speech impediment and there all mean to him. They call him names and make fun of his speech problems. The sad thing is he doesn't realize there being mean to him. I try to tell them that the things there doing are wrong but they won't listen. Most of the kids I hang out with hate me any way so should I just not hang with them anymore. And if so how should I find new friends. I'm really into art and music. Thanks

To be honest, if they're like that and your not happy being with them you should definitly find new friends. I know its not the easiest of things to do but are there any clubs at school or somewhere that you can join? Just get out and about and meet new people.

If you want to find new frieds I suggest going to clubs, I made really good friends going to school clubs.

Like Laura and the other poster said, try going to school clubs. You said you're interested in Art and music right? Why don't you try to sign yourself up for an art class somewhere for teens your age? Artistic people are often like minded, so I'm sure you'll make a lot of friendly connections. Also when you're at school, try to make yourself more available to more people - engage in conversation and small talk with new faces.

Don't sit moping, it really isn't that hard to meet people. Just walk up and introduce yourself. Easy as that.
