Yes, but I think it also depends on whatever else you're wearing as well. I believe fedoras look better on more classy sorts of clothing, like blazers, leather jackets, and dress shirts, not so much bright colorful t-shirts or hoodies.

This. I like them...with the right outfit. So I chose yes/no situational.

They are both contemporary and retro. I think a very stylish skinny guy would look great in a fashionable one where as a 60 year old jazz man in a suit would suit one as well.
Personally I don't think they suit me therefore I don't wear one.

You have to be like Neal Caffrey from White Collar. The problem with Fedoras nowadays is too many people wear them wrong and dress them down.

It's called a fedora. And yes, they are cool, but never with some hiphop clothing like hoodies, baggy jeans etc.
They go very well with blazers, suits, trench coats etc.
And, one more thing, never wear those cheap fedoras you can buy from almost every clothing shop that mainly sells clothes for teenagers. A quality fedora costs around 100-200 dollars new, maybe even more. Those cheap fedoras are not the real classic style(you seem to be wearing one of those cheap ones in the picture).

thanks for the spell check there.
and i know that fEdoras are expencive and very stylish. 10-4 cheif! and the hat im wearing in my pic is actuley a fedora made from weaved recycled paper and is made by a hawaian company. its not a clasic one or a hip hop crap its more of a tropical one and is far cooler than you make it out to be

It really depends on 1)your face shape [if it suits you or not] 2) your outfit and 3 the occasion your going to. There are wool and tweed fedoras which are more formal but can also be casual. The straw and canvas fedoras which are casual.

I have worn a fedora to enhance some of my outfits, but I tend to like vintage clothes anyway.
