Which one do you think is the better game?

Since Saints Row I was first brought to the Xbox, and wasn't a multi-platform game, some people weren't as familiar with it, as Grand Theft Auto is. Saints Row 2 was a multi-platform game which then everyone was more acquainted with it, thus bringing a bigger crowd.

That's besides the point. Which game has the best gameplay/experience?

Personally for me, I'm going with Grand Theft Auto, I think the game has a great story line with a lot more things to interact with, along with very decent graphics. Though lately GTA has been more focused on Liberty City, I was hoping that they were going to bring back a sequel to San Andres as I enjoyed that one the most. Saints Row has a lot more things to customize, but when it comes to overall experience and storyline, GTA holds that, as Saints Row was focused on gaining the hood and not too much background or, "in order" story, Also gamers may not be so familiar with it seeing as how the first one was not a multi-platform game.

So what do you think?

Saints Row was too unorganized for me to like it.

I've only played GTA so I only know what that's like. I actually played Vice City a week or so ago but I can't ever unlock that final mission > : /

I wanted to play San Andreas after that but I can't find it anywhere. I must have lost it.

I like both, but GTA takes that cake.

GTA, I think the writing is far superior and the story's more enthralling. I'd love to see the next game in the series return to San Andreas or Vice City, or at least -some- old location. Seeing the change in Liberty City from III to IV really shows how far we've come in just a few years of gaming.

I agree, if I could see a return of Vice City which is my second choice as that one was also a great game. The story for it was amazing. Saints Row was more down to just killing an taking back the hood. I didn't really care for all the activities either on Saints Row. Everything was so unorganized as Joker said, but it wasn't even a concentrated game. The opening scene is you breaking out of jail... Okay well, you take back the hood from rival gangs with scattered and pretty lame cut scenes? GTA I think takes this by force, but I wanted to see if anyone would like to argue Saints Row as some people really liked it, but I didn't that much.

EDIT: Also when they tried Vice City Stories, I didn't expect much from it, but it seemed too identical except this time you were Vic Vance, Lance Vance's brother.

It's not really a question for me I truly hated Saints Row 2 but have always loved GTA.

i LOVE Saints Row 2 and then again i literally played GTAIV until the disc cracked (same w/ MW2 :P ) so for me its even...unless you add The Saboteur into the mixture...then it would be it. yes, i know its not the same, but its a free-roaming world with killing Nazi's, [email protected]$$ guns and a great story line. to top it off theres even N-u-d-i-t-y :D lol
