Well for weeks before i saw the movie critics every where were sayin how awful it was which really upset me cause i couldnt wait for it.
Then i saw the movie. wow. they couldnt have been more wrong. i just have to say i loved every second of it, it was amazing, emotional and i really hope they make a second and third film.
surely the critics know that the film is aimed at younger people who watched the programme, so why not say something like "i cant say i enjoyed this film however its clearly intended for the younger audience and think that younger people will enjoy it as they have probably seen the cartoon series" instead of basically goin "it was sh*t and thats the end of it"
wat do you guys think. did you enjoy the film? do you think the critics were right to say wat they did? plus anything else
Thanx

I think the series completely dominates the film in every way infinitely imaginable.
The movie wasn't bad bad. It was just really dark, humorless, and got a lot of things majorly wrong or twisted up.
Fan of the series + movie = demand a refund.
Person who's never seen the series + movie = decently satisfied.

I'm a huge fan of the show and i was also disappointed after watching the movie. Plus they screwed up my favorite characters(Sokka and Uncle Iroh).
why not say something like "i cant say i enjoyed this film however its clearly intended for the younger audience and think that younger people will enjoy it as they have probably seen the cartoon series" instead of basically goin "it was sh*t and thats the end of it"
critics never say that
surely the critics know that the film is aimed at younger people who watched the programme
the thing is that the show was also able to appeal to a more mature audience the movie on the other hand completely fail to do so

The acting bothered the crap out of me. I really hated their choice for Katara. None of the performances really stood out except for probably one. I wasn't really too happy with it. I'm well aware that the movie can never be expected to be better than the original, but I was expecting at least half of the calibre of the show.

No movie will ever be better than the series, but i agree the movie was good. It was a great movie but i think if it wasn't based on the series i wouldn't have my expectations of it so high and i would have thought more of it, if that makes sense?

Never seen the series, but the movie was utter garbage. Glad I didn't end up paying for that viewing.

The movie was disgraceful to the show. The acting was terrible. Everyone's ethnicity was screwed up (yes, it matters in this case). They ruined the culture. M K S is a terrible director. I can't get past the poor casting choices and the terrible writing.

i hated it. i wanted my money back and they messed up so many things. and you could tell that the stunts were all fake, where james camerons avatar, the stunts look 100% real. they couldve put more effort into it. it wasnt all bad, but it shouldve had more improvements. the series is way, way, way, way better than the movie.
