View Full Version : Optimistic?

Yeah, so ATM I go to an all boys school but in September I'm going to a sixth form college (I have no idea if you have this in America, it's from when you are 16-18 in England) that will have shitloads of attractive (and slutty probably...) girls. Is it optimistic of me to assume that just because I'll go there, I'll manage to get a gf? There's no chance of me getting one now if you were wondering. Has anybody else thought "I don't care that I'm single now, when I go to some school/university/college I'll easily get someone."?
Oh, 500th post!

congrats on 500th post! ^^
im currently in an all girls' school, possibly moving to a mixed college or sixth form.
i'd say that ofcourse you have increased chances of getting a girlfriend if you're around girls all the time, assuming they'll all be slutty isn't a good start though, although for the most part it could be true i guess thinking about it :P
about this part: "I don't care that I'm single now, when I go to some school/university/college I'll easily get someone."
i'm not single, but if i was then im pretty sure i'd be thinking something along the similar lines...
only thing i would say is that i'd always prefer to keep relationships and education seperate. guess it depends how much you care about either of them.
just my personal preference, up to you :]
hope this helps!

Well, it would certainly help to be around some girls :P I think you'd be getting too optimistic to believe that a lot of them are slutty though... but yeah, being in a mixed school certainly helps. About half of all of my relationships were with guys and girls I knew from school. Most were actually friends first, though.
I went to an upper school with years nine-thirteen mixed, so I don't have great experience, but opinions help, yes?

Thanks, it does help. My assumption that they will all be slutty is probably closer to the truth than you think, judging what they looked like at the open day and the kind of girls that live near to the college. I'm just gonna forget about going out with anyone until college as as I said before, it isn't happening. I haven't been around a lot of girls for a few years so maybe it won't be that easy getting one to go out with me. Anyway, thanks for the help, +rep given. :)

aww, thankyou ^^
and you said: "I haven't been around a lot of girls for a few years so maybe it won't be that easy getting one to go out with me."
it could actually have the opposite affect.
it's likely to make you more 'normal' around girls - more yourself, if you just act like you normally do at school, meaning girls will see you for who you actually are and probably like you better for that :]

Congratulations on the 500th post! ^_^ but anyways, yeah its preety obvious that your alot more likely to get a girlfriend, considering you were going to an all boys school.. But I wouldnt assume that the girls at this new school your going to are slutty. lol :P
