Slip away into the modern age
Where suffering is just another stage,
Another part of evolution, say,
You wouldn't have a cure for that today?
Well I would think this would be easier,
But I just cannot set my records straight,
The files have all been misplaced,
The documents have been erased,
How am I to save my place
When I'm the fourth at a table for three?
I was told to get all that was left,
Before the offices were left bereft
Of what was necessary for success,
Did we lose that to the press?
The keys to what was best,
I've left it all behind,
I guess it slipped my mind...
