Much the same reason I want to study law. Also from an arrogant and selfish perceptive I like the status lawyers have within society and the good wage they earn.

No, I'd much rather be a politician. When you're a lawyer, you are guarantee to lie. When you're a politician, you're only likely to lie.

very much the same reasons as you.
i'm also on a debate team and i love it.
ever since i was about 8 or 9 i've been told i'd make a good lawyer, but i've never really followed it up until the past year.
as someone else said, wage and status are also appealing.
anything but a dead end job is my cup of tea so to speak (:

This. Politics are more to my liking, even though lawyers do have potentially higher salaries.

It'll stretch you wits out like a torture rack, and some potential enemies are always about. :)

I've always thought about taking law, but there's Theology and Politics, or maybe Science. I'm not good at speaking on my own, but I'm game only as support for fellow teammates.

Pretty much the same reasoning as everyone else here. Debating, salary, ect.

What kind of law do you all plan to practice and where do you plan to go? For me it's criminal defense and civil defense and prosecution. I'm currently in the Paralegal Studies program at Davenport University (which is a private university in Michigan), and when I graduate I'm enrolling at Michigan Law.

I've done a lot of self searching and well I started out wanting to be a lawyer and I searched myself and looked at other career options having to do with people and I realized being a lawyer is really what is best for me. I'm good at arguing and generally have good points to make. And one day I hope to handle some important cases. After I pass the bar test I'm going to do a one year program just to see what I'm getting into but for now I'm confident I've chosen the right path. I think it would be really entertaining to be involved in arguing a case. I don't think I could ever get bored with cases that are always different. And I think it would be a really fulfilling feeling to know that I did something good whether it be advising a good person/ company (for example some eco friendly company, or a politician who shares my political views) or arguing a case in court in order to protect the greater good.
Also I realize I don't have the drive or patience to go into medicine, and I hate math so I don't really want to do anything to do with sales. I have a deep rooting fear of dogs so I couldn't be a veterinarian. And I'm too lazy to be a politician. I'm not sure the whole essay thing was need I'm just really enthusiastic. Oh and the zero's on my pay are just an extra.. xD

Oh, and I want to practice criminal law, as a prosecutor. As for what university I'm still undecided
