Should me make a forgiveness day ? All bans can be removed, and a message could be sent to their inbox that they are allowed to be on here again ?
I think that if they are allowed back , 75% of them would not repeat the same actions again

No way in hell would that be a good idea. 95% of people banned are banned for a serious reason like camming or picture trading. That is what we're trying to stop here, not encourage by letting offenders return.

Would you all of a sudden let your nations prisons have a forgiveness day?

A bit of hyperbole but it still applies. They were banned because we don't want them on here.

no way will this ever ever happen. People get banned because of serious thing, and we don't want them on here, for that reason.
If we let them back, 75% will re offend.

No, that wouldn't work. People are banned for a reason, you wouldn't let a murderer out of jail as a gesture of goodwill and the same principles apply

I can think of a number of individuals that I'd not mind at all seeing unbanned, in fact, there are some people I think should be unbanned and/or never have been banned in the first place, but I can count these people on a single hand.

Other than that, no. Most people are banned with good reason, and they would reoffend if let back.

Some expections are out there,
There are people who just got a moment's temper and broke a rule,
What about the people who contributed up to 3000 posts and then they get banned for 1 act?

If they were here enough time to make 3000 posts they'd know the rules and realise commiting that one offense would lead to a banning. so its really on their own head that they do it.

That is a very fair point and I completely agree but...

That is also true...

Yeah but like i said it could be a moment's fury when it comes to heavily insulting members and I don't think that members who are over 3000 post would do a dumb thing with cam thing etc...
I think the "old breed" of this site should be forgiven, like the ones over 3000 posts etc

You'd be surprised what older members do, a lot of people in the past have been found camming, even the least expected. As for heavily insulting members that would result in an infraction, not a banning.

Even the heaviest of insults get an infraction ?...
And wow, never guessed that that old members would do those things, you people are right

It depends how you mean by Heavy, but yeah, it would result in a hefty infraction. Though as you know too many infractions can lead to a ban eventually so it can be possible, just not very often.

i lol'd at this idea. That would be a major risk to this site. This site has a good purpose behind it, and letting a bunch of bafoons ransack it all at once woud kill it.

Some people like Jeff should be unbanned. :P That would be interesting to see all the people whom were banned that shouldn't have but were because of infraction points, like Jeff or Ripple.

Absolutely not. They were banned for a reason. End of.

that won't ever happen since as it is already said, what they did is really serious, or most of them anyways. they deserved to be banned. the end.

Nice thought, but many have probably forgotten about the place, and those who do come back will most likely cause more trouble.

If we want a member banned for only a certain amount of time then we may aswell freeze them, not ban them. They've been banned for a reason. And if people knew when this forgiveness day was it would give them an excuse to rbeak any rule they wanted to a few days before... because they'd only get unbanned a few days later.

In general, probably not. But I don't think anyone could keep track of why each person was banned. The bans resulting from multiple infractions I completely agree with forgiving. There are a few people I wouldn't mind see getting a second chance. If only this could happen :(

Yeah, it's never going to happen. Ever.
