Party: Green Party (I put "independent"). I don't align with the Democrats, they're weak vote-panderers. Edit: I don't agree with all of the Greens' economic policies either. Their call for the federal government to take over BP in the wake of the oil spill was way too far.
State: Texas
Age: 15

Although I'm not from America, I support the British Conservative Party, whose politics are similar to John McCains. I'm 17.

Since we don't only discuss about American politics...
Age: 15
City: İstanbul
Party: Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi ( Republican People's Party ), Turkey's first party and also currently the Head Opposition party and the last hope and bastion of Kemalist and modernist people of Turkey.
And I want to ask something, America and England have very few parties ( as much as I know US has 3 and UK has 2 ) but Turkey has many : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_parties_in_Turkey

Please don't call britain england. It's really annoying. Britain has 3 major parties (Conservatives, Labour and LibDems) and several minor parties (SNP UKIP GREENS BNP)

This displays a complete lack of knowledge of the British political system. We have a UK Parliament. There is no such thing as an English Parliament, although we have devolved parliaments in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. As I previously stated the main UK parties are the Conservatives (traditional voters are people from the south of England), Labour (Northern Britain, Wales and public sector employees) and the Liberal Democrats (middle class, degree educated environmentalists) in addition to minor parties. The main minor parties currently represented in the UK Parliament (House of Commons) are SNP (Scottish National Party fighting for independence), Plaid Cymru (National Party of Wales same purpose as the SNP) and the Green Party (socialist environmentalists) as well as a host of parties for Northern Ireland who support one of the big 3. Hope this clears it up

I thought all parties were under the title of UK, not like Conservators from South England, Labour from Wales etc.. Thanks for clearing things up.

Sorry, I've confused you! All parties represented in the House of Commons (UK Parliament) are UK parties, however the Conservatives' support comes mainly from the South of England and Labour are popular in the North, Wales and the public sector. This is one of the problems with British politics, there is a very clear divide between the North of Britain and the South.

Yeah but don'T every country have things like that ?
I mean, like western Turkey has more votes for CHP ( excluding Istanbul )
Middle Turkey is AKP (over-religious government ), South east divides into 3: AKP, MHP ( our little Ultranationalist party ), BDP ( Kurdish Nationalist Party )

Yeah but say the Conservative Party (popular in the South of England, very unpopular in Scotland) becomes the gov't, what right do they have to govern Scotland if only 10% of Scotland voted for them? Also Britain is different to most of Europe as our voting system (First Past the Post) usually results in a majority, single party gov't, whereas as most European countrys use a form of Proportional Representation, meaning more coalition, ie more people being represented (Although this is debatable given the nature of compromises and coalitions)

^ we use first past post too
B.C tried to change it to single transferable vote (STV) and in the first referendum had strong support (over 57%) but didn't reach the required 60% so a second referendum was held in 2009 and it flopped hardcore because of allot of propaganda scare tactics.
Party: Liberal/NDP....but honestly Iggy needs to grow a set if he expects my vote....better than Harper tho
Province: British Columbia, but i'm an Alberta resident (alberta drivers, albertan insurance, alberta blue cross, etc...)
Age: 23.
I've voted in two federal and one provincial election since turning 18 and I've voted for many different political parties, I don't believe in blind faith, as a politician you should have to earn every vote you receive.

I had no idea that there was a referendum planned. :S
The winchester system is basically our parliment system, with MPs, not congressmen as in the US.

I put Democrat because they're the closest to my beliefs. Though in all honestly, I'm more of a democratic socialist :)
