Ok well I am gay (loving it too lol) and after realizing this and telling my friends( who are all more than cool with it and embrace it with love and jokes) but after awhile I got more confident and wanted to try things and do things I havent before. I grew my hair out and it was in dreads for awhile(1-2 years of H.S, sophmore -senior year) now its the beginning of senior year and I wanted to change a few about myself. Ive always wanted to try having straight hair cuz I like the look. The problem is my mom is COMPLETELY against it. She says itll make me look feminine and a bunch of other crap. I dont care what people think because I like the look and saw others with the same look and they dont look girly at all. Now im planning on having my friends help me do it anyway but you think my parents will start really thinking im gay if I do it? (im not out to them yet)

"Oh that hair is gay, your gay"
...His gay what? [/grammar nazi]

But, yeah, do whatever you want with your hair, really there are things parents should be able to control about their kids... but I don't really think hairstyle is one of them.
