a lot of girls at my school seem to like guys who are huge douchebags, and treat them like crap, why, i mean i guess i get the whole ''badboy'' kinda thing, but it seems rather pointless to me.:confused:

Cause they're raging hormonal hurricanes that will have to learn the hard way that these guys will only break their hearts. Some girls need the life experience to teach them these things versus instinct and word of mouth.

Me and a friend of mine were just texting about this the other day.
He is the sweetest thing ever and he was asking me why girls just never want to give him a chance, but all the jerkoffs always get the girls. . .
Seeing as though I'm an example of this situation, my opinion is that girls just find it more exciting and are more attracted to the "badboy" type.
^^ as was said, girls get some sort of pleasure out of doing the wrong thing and going against what most parents would want.
Plus, most guys who are "bad" are rather attractive as far as looks, and they know that. So they know that no matter how much of a douchebag they are to their girl, she will beg for him and do whatever it takes to keep him around.
I love a sweet and respectful guy, but the bad boys just know exactly what to say to reel you in so that they can mess with you and your heart.

That one, I don't know. They get mad because they were trying to show their affection through the hints instead of just telling you that they like you, because it's easier, but get angry when their attempts to display their feelings didn't catch on... I never do that actually, so that's my guess.

Why do girls prefer 'jerks' and 'bad boys'?

1) Girls generally like to have fun and be adventurous in relationships. A 'bad boy' won't just show them affection whenever they please just because they asked. Both parties involved go a little more out of their way to obtain affection from the other, and this makes things fun and interesting. Nice guys will just put out to a girl's every whim and this can get incredibly boring incredibly quickly.

2) It's very nice to feel that someone who normally doesn't show a lot of affection is showing you some.

3) They're honest and will speak their mind. They love their girlfriends, they don't worship them, and yes, some jeans do make you look fat.

4) They're confident and don't need girlfriends. There isn't a gaping romantic void in their hearts that they're desperately trying to fill.

(I could easily go on but I'll get to the point)

The problem, OP, is that while nice guys are out and about whining about the supposed cruelty of the opposite sex and moaning about how the women they like don't pursue them, the 'bad boys' are out pursuing those very women. It's a matter of knowing exactly what you want in the opposite sex and going for it instead of hoping it'll notice you first.
