I happen to have many programs open at once, with Microsoft Word for the past month and Sony Vegas for the past week since I have no more trial time for Sony Vegas and Microsoft Word I'm runnin' low on trial uses on, and I was wondering if this could hamper my computer's health at all.

Some argue that leaving your computer on for extended periods of time is unhealthy. I guess it can be if you're noticing shaky performance. You should make sure the inside of your computer case is free of dust and other fan-clogging materials. You don't want that extra pressure on the CPU to overheat and "melt" your PC.

If your computer can't handle keeping those two open for long periods of time, you might want to consider buying some more RAM.

I don't think leaving trial versions of software open is necessarily bad, but you're gonna have to close it sooner or later.

Exactly :D But leaving your computer on and leaving programs running wont cause any harm at all. Before I sold my desktop that was usually on for months at a time.

I don't think you'd get banned for telling me to torrent it.

I don't use torrents or any kind of p2p. What I meant was I wasn't going to list websites or anything. It doesn't matter anyway >.<

Pssht, piracy is as common as the kids at P101 looking at porn while they're under 18. Sure, both activities are illegal, but nobody cares anymore.

Isn't there a rule about not promoting piracy on VT? Correct me if I'm wrong

Yes there is.
But saying you can do something, and promoting doing it, are completly different things.
You /can/ torrent these programs. But I'm not saying you should.

That's why they made kiddie porn, right?

It's not promoting when you're only telling someone to relax. :P
