I borrowed them sometimes around June/July. There was about 10 of them. It's now October, and I have no fucking clue where they are. He's been asking for them back for a while and he's really fucking pissed at me.
They're either in my room at my dads somewhere (I don't seem them anywhere in there) or in a box at my moms. At least I hope they are there.
What do I do? I borrowed ten of his CDs and fucking lost them. He really wants them back. I fucked up and don't know what to do. It's not like I can buy new ones for every CD lost....

Telll him what happened, be honest about it. Tell him you'll do your best to look for them, and if you can't, you'll get him new ones (if you can't afford to buy them all at once, tell him that you'll get them one by one).
Being honest is the most important thing here, or he will think that you don't want to give them back to him.

Give him the honest truth. Offer him something that'd make him happy <:)
Chuck him a ukelele and ask him to make better music.

Tell him you're looking for them any you'll return them as soon as possible, in the meantime, is it possible for you to burn him copies of the CDs to tide him over?

tell him the truth, be honest, I'm sure he won't be as mad as if you lied. just tell him you're really sorry and if you find them, you'll give them back right away.

Just like everyone has stated, tell him the truth. If he's your true friend he will understand stuff like this happens. Give him burned copies of them until you can find them. And if you can't find em, you can try and slowly but surely, raise enough money to re-buy them.

Definitely something you should look into if you ripped the music from the CD's in the first place. I would have suggested it but Sith beat me to it :P

Well, I found a majority of them, but the cases are cracked. Is there any way I can fix that?

You may need to buy a new case.

Ooh, wonderful. Should I tell him that I had to buy a new case, or just see if he doesn't notice it?

Well... I don't really see any harm in it. As long as the CD itself isn't damged. I don't think there is any way you can pay him back without losing the same amount of trust. You did seem to have a disregard for his property. Next time. Put them somewhere safe. Like a drawer or cabinet. That way nothing happens to them.
