so as you know Christmas is coming up and the dealio is: i can have 1 present under 250 i which i will definitely get and my parents will choose the rest. i want an iPod but theyre to expensive (i need one with a lot of memory) so i was thinking maybe a Zune.

im leaning more torwards iPod but it simply doesnt have enough space for all of my music. so...Zune HD or iPod Touch? thanks guys and gals :)

If you use MP3 players for only music and the occasional facebook status, the Zune HD is perfect. The audio quality is excellent. I have the 32GB Platinum, and I couldn't live without it.

If you like apps and games, and don't care that much about keeping a perfectly organized music library, then the iPod is for you.

yea..i dont really care about apps and i keep my music library VERY neat haha. its just the user interface of the ipod that i like better. zune's confuse me :P

Trust me, once you start using the ZuneHD's interface, it's actually /very/ intuitive. Better than the iPod's IMO.

Yeah, it has a beautiful (that's a word I rarely use) interface. The 16:9 screen is great for watching videos and movies.

As I said before, the audio quality is so much better than the iPod's — the bass sounds particularly good.

I heard there might there might be a ZuneHD2 soon, and I'm in the same boat as you because I need more space, and I don't which one to get. So, I'm waiting to decide once, if it does, the ZuneHD2 comes out. Because I want 16 gigs, and I can't find any new iTouchs that are 16, and I kinda want external speakers. :P

They haven't made a 16GB Touch since the 2nd gen. 3rd and 4th Gens are now 8, 32, and 64GB.

Anyway, I've always preferred the iPod. It has a larger screen with a much higher resolution, it's thinner, it has a HD video camera, and the App Store, among many other things. I've had a 2nd gen Touch for over 2 years now, and I can't wait to get the new 4th Gen.

I figured that out, and I find it the dumbest thing ever. Why eight but not sixteen? It's stupid since eight is too little and thirty two is too expensive. :P

iMacs are built with ~$600 technology but are sold for over $1000.

Microsoft loses money (About $5 per console) on Xbox sales. EDIT: Actually I lied. After a bit of intertubes research, they lose around $65 per console. Cant find any info on the Zune....

And Jake, if you're waiting for the ZuneHD2, you'll be waiting a while. Last I heard there won't be another one 'till at least Q3 of 2011, but most likely it'll be in 2012. (And It will be based on the Windows Phone operating system that Microsoft is releasing later this month (But not 'till November 8th for the US)).
