In France swim shorts are banned in many public pools, speedos are mandatory. On the beaches some guys stick to speedos and others wear shorts.

I live in the U.S, and I have never seen a teenage guy wear a speedo because he actually wanted to.

I wear them all time time. It seems to me that most of the guys who dont wear them at my local pool turn out not to be good swimmers. I dont do classes but 90% of the boys who do wear them. So my guess is this is linked to the swimming club and they are setting the fashion.

don't sterotype europ. in britian no one (not even old men) wear speedos. Go to Italy and Greece. They wear them everywhere. Ive been to Greece 5 times and italy 4 and ive only seen a few people (who were teenagers) not wearing speedos.

It's not common at all to see men in speedos in the US unless it's for a swim team or something. Thank goodness for that lol.

I wear speedos as do my two brothers - who by the way look GREAT in them - as does my father, Backyard, coomunity pool and beach. We could care less what anyone thinks and no one has ever said anything to us - better for them.
