What do you guys think about a 16 m getting a lip ring. Thinking of one on the left hand side of my lower lip.

We can't really say seeing as we don't actually know what you look like, 16m doesn't tell us anything :P so, for now, ima say no o.O

I mean does it immediately put people off, and like set me apart?

It depends on what you look like or if it would suit you. I see a lot of guys with lip rings now, I think it works better you have a bit of a gothic/emo kinda style.

I think lip rings look stupid. I don't care who you are. It just makes you look goofy.

I think lip rings are sexy...my boyfriend's got snakebites. It's so fcking hot. It's mainly your choice, just don't get a stud, do a hoop. They look better. Less awkward.

Facial piercings aren't exactly a turn-on for me. I can live with them, but odds are that it'll blow my chances of being attracted to a guy. The only piercings on a guy that I've found to be fine are tongue and earlobe.

Why would he regret it?
If he doesn't like it he can take it out, the scar doesn't look dad, it blends eventually.

I think by 16 m he means 16 year old male.

Really by that information we can't tell you a whole lot. In general, I respect someone the same if they have a lip ring, but it does seem like it puts off a harsh image. Piercings and tattoos put a little spike in your image, and do set you apart in my opinion.

They can look good. I'm not saying it will look good.

Just saying, for whatever reason he may want it it's probably just a teenage thing. No one actually wants a lip ring lol... they look pretty silly on anyone. If I had fallen into every impulse I had/have of this nature I'd be more embarrassed than I am now looking back, ha. So was just offering some insight.

They're also very prone to problematic infections so getting it done for style isn't worth it if you're not looking to take care of it properly. It's not really something you can just "try"

it only depends on your looks, but i'd want to have one but my parents will torture and execute me if i will pierce myself without their permission (which i'm never gonna get).

You'll thank them later once your frontal lobe matures. ;)

Yeah, I was thinking of getting one just for the hell of it. You see I seem pretty much a goody two shoes. Get all good grades in ma GCSES, 10 A* and 4 A, and never get in trouble. But really I am different, punk rock, all that jazz. So I guess it's just a way to rebel

lol. It now feels appropriate to quote one of my favorite quotes.

"The weirder you're going to behave, the more normal you should look. It works in reverse, too. When I see a kid with three or four rings in his nose, I know there is absolutely nothing extraordinary about that person."

So true.

I do believe I agree with this. Cheers.

I don't really see the point of putting pieces of metal all over my body. I can express things other ways.

Alot of my friends have plugs (gauges for you hip kids) and facial piercings. My friend mikey got like 2 1/4 plugs which is bigger then my mouth goes open.

Piercings matter on your style, I was going to get them then I decided no and cut my hair. Because when I'm in the pit during concerts the last thing I need is to be ripped open by piercings. :P

I just got my lip pierced a few days ago. I personally like it and so does my boyfriend. So thats all the matters, however, make sure you really want it and that you clean it!! Infections are serious business. Not something to play around with.
