Hi, i am Lauren and I am 15. Ever since I was 13, I wont say addicted but I have a small issue with heroin. My sister Used to take some when she was modeling more, and I tried, now whenever I feel anxious, or i cant face up to anything I just shoot up. The scary thing is I hide it so well. I know I may look cute and small but I just... IDK. Do you think I am addicted, please tell the truth.

I'm going to be brutally honest with you. Heroine is one of the most addictive, and deadliest drugs sold. It's extremely easy to become addicted to it, and can lead to so many health problems. This was my mothers drug of choice, but rather in pill form, it's impairs her. She used to shoot it, but now has collapsed veins and so many tracks and So many more medical conditions. There is a method to stopping all of this, but you have to be willing to stop.
You have to speak with a doctor... They will have a few solutions, or they may ask you to attend NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings. Which is a group of men and woman and they share their experience with addictions and give each other hope, it's a 12 step program, but it is most effective when you want to rid yourself of it.
Though I'm going to be honest with you; the withdrawals will suck, but they go away after about a week after being utterly and completely clean. The worst of it occurs after about 24 to 48 hours after your last hit. You can prevent the damage to your body and help it start fixing the damage already done. As if you don't your body will suffer. So if you feel that you are addicted to heroine, then please do everything you can to quit. It will be a very wise choice, and will let you live a drug free and independent life like you should.
If you need anyone to talk to I'm always here, PM me anytime. Good luck hun.

Thanks.
Anytime hun... You just have to be willing to stop... Otherwise later down the road, everything will catch up with you.. It has ruined my mother for a lifetime. I no longer consider her a mother. The emotional and physical damage done especially within a family is irreversible. I hope you take some of what I've said. In the end quitting will only benefit you.

You really need to stop taking heroin, as Ronnie said its the most addictive drug on this planet. It may feel good when you are taking it and when you have tooken it, but the long term effects are horrible. Ive seen heroin addicts out in the street, they are always looking pale they have slurred speach. It costs you alot of money and for what ? It can kill you instantly also if you take too much. The best advice I can give you is quit while your ahead.

I'd recommend dropping the habit, but if you don't take it for a few days do you go through physical withdrawals? Not just cravings, do you feel physically sick? If you don't then you haven't quite built a physical addiction.

Narcotics. Oh boy.
I don't think narcotic abuse is as common in this age group. There are few others on the site who have a narcotic problem versus weed and such.
Withdrawal doesn't suck. It's hell. You have to know that, as much as it might deter you from stopping. It will be bad. It was quite literally the worst five days of my life. You're skin will crawl and your blood will itch. You will be desperate, scratching your skin till you bleed. You'll have this horrible nausea and vomiting that feels like it'll persist forever. You'll sweat nonstop, but you will shiver uncontrollably. You're whole body will ache, you'll have muscle spasms and hot flashes, and you won't be able to sleep.
Why am I warning you of this? Because, know that the longer you're taking heroin, the WORSE the withdrawal will be. The sooner you get off it, the less you will have to suffer. I was taking morphine a few times a day, everyday, for two years straight. And even after the withdrawal, you will have cravings. Lasting months, years even. The craving seems like it will never go away.
There isn't a day that I don't think about going back to it, and I've been clean for three years.
Please. The sooner you get off of it, the sooner it will all go away.
I'm always here if you need me.

Maybe thats why I am so pale, because of it. Thanks guys for the advice, I think I will start tomorrow, I tried the other day, but I couldn't help it and shot up again. I tried to shoot up again today, but my sister flushed it. I was so pissed at her, we got into this big fight. So tomorrow I will just see what happens.

I'd suggest you reach out to someone, like a counsellor, to help you along.

yeah you do run the risk of going to be a full blown addict which when you do you could get into serious health problems and useing dirty needles can even run the risk of HIV and outher viruses like that or STDs not good. even like the outher posts say even ODing is possible to.

Although heroin is cut with all kinds of crap and black tar heroin is a common type of heroin which is actually desired by certain users, the rat poison part is pretty much just a myth. Of course there is the paranoid possibility of it being in there, but I have no clue why it would be.
