I keep changing my mind about careers.... and now I have no idea what to do.
Everytime I have a new idea about a career I get really excited about it but then I grow bored of the idea.
I absolutely adore animals and I wanted to be a veterinary nurse which sounded perfect for me but when i thought about what it would involve it started to sound boring to me. And lonely.
I was also thinking photography but I think I'd get bored easily... even though I love photography I think having a career in it would ruin my love for it.
So yeah I'm scared pursuing a career in something I love will make me hate it or find it boring and theres no point in having a career in something I dont love in the first place...
I dont want to realise that Ive made the wrong choice and have to keep going back to college.
I know loads of people have this problem but I dont want to spend my youth in college :O
I was thinking of taking a year out but knowing me that'll just confuse me further.
It may be just a fear of not making the right choice thats holding me back but theres so much pressure on me...

Do most people who are 17 change their mind so much??
Because everyone I know knows what they want.
I dont want to be 40 when I realise what I want :(

Dont worry about it, if you cant think of a career, just pick a course in college that you think looks good and think about your career from there. Alot of people dont have there career sorted out until they have done several courses at college and until early 20s.

You still have your whole life to figure out what your true calling is. You may not know how long it will take to find it out. Just try out different things, and whatever ends up feeling right, and you seem like it's your calling, just stick with it. :)

Honestly? Welcome to being a teenager. :P

My suggestion honestly would be to go to university but don't immediately single out anything as a major. That first year is really just laying the groundwork anyway, getting your core classes done. During that time, take a bunch of courses in different areas of study. When you're doing something at a college level, you'll really be able to tell whether it's for you or not, whether you can put up with the amount of work required of it or not.

Don't be too afraid of indecision. Having fear of choosing the wrong thing means you won't choose anything and the indecision will just be worse. It's better to choose the wrong thing than to not do anything.
