I started off like this, making scratches with scissors now I cut. Just because it isn't a problem now doesn't mean it won't become one. it is probabaly a good idea to stop this now because it will only get harder.
I get those moods too so i understand how you feel.
It does count as self harm because you are hurting yourself, even if your not bleeding and you are doing it to make yourself feel better.
Feel free to VM or email me if you need any help or just want to talk :)

Welcome to VT. Dont worry, we love boring life stories. :P
It depends how you look at. You are still harming yourself with the scissors, so yes I think it would count.
SH doesn't just refer to cutting. There is lots of different forms of it.
I dont know what else to say, tbh I dont know a thing about OCD.
You said you dont do it all the time, which is good. Please dont get in the habit of SH,
trust me its very addictive.
PM or VM me if you need to talk. :)

Anything that has the intend to harm oneself is self harm, therefore what you're doing is still classed as self harm. Whether it bleeds or not, and it's a nasty habit doing it so it doesn't damage the skin layer as this means that you can control what pain you cause yourself because you know the limit that you can take before you bleed. Technically you are properly harming yourself, and damage caused to oneself makes it proper.

any form of hurting yourself is self harm. It doesn't matter if it bleeds or not. Some of my worst scars are from cuts that didn't bleed. You are self harming when you do this, no matter how serious the injuries are.
I get those moods sometimes, and that's when my urges to cut come on stronger than ever. Just because you don't think you have a problem now, soon it could be a very serious problem. You might find yourself using it to deal with everyday life, because you start to feel like it's the only way to cope. I've been there before.
I'd stop it now while you still can if I were you. Look around this forum and you'll see how it's affected people's lives.
You can PM me anytime if you need to talk hun, I'm always here :hug3:

No problem. :)
And I wish I was popular at school. I hide round the back at breaks and lunch. :P

Don't be afraid to show your feelings. Do you have a friend you're particularly close to? Maybe you could talk to them about it all. Just because you're "popular" doesn't mean you don't have days where you feel really down.
Try and talk to someone, it really is worth it. again, everyone here is willing to help, and we'll all listen if you need to talk to someone :)

Welcome to VT
I started off the dame way as you, but it can develop quite quickly.
And I know what you mean about the OCD, this is pretty mucht he same problem I have, but like the other have said, even if it doesnt seem like a problem now, it can and probably will turn into one.
And you shouldnt be afriad to show how your feeling, maybe tell a close friend, or someone you can really trust.
Good luck, and you can VM me if you need anyone to talk to
