Choking it Down
Slide the red and white pill
Between the pearl gates.
Let it slither down the bumpy pink slide,
Into the abyss of inhumanity.
It will disintegrate into white powder
That will suffuse the vessels
Within the mass ship
And puncture any cracks
So the air will rush in
And sooth the suffocation.
The pill, to heal,
Destroys, the ship sinks,
The waves crash in,
The vessels are filled with white,
The red that once helped
The boat stay afloat
Evaporated into the thick air.
There is no way to breathe;
The carbon dioxide rushed in
As the oxygen escaped through
The back hatch, leaving nothing
But a carbon footprint
That only the dead can see.
