As some of you might of seen from my other posts, I have never been in a relationship, and I struggle to communicate with girls. I think there may be many reasons why this is, but one if them is that I seem to have such high expectations. Shallow people really piss me off, but I seem to be shallow myself.
I only seem to like the really attractive popular girls in my school, and would like to see myself in the future being married to someone like this. Of course, I have quite liked some average girls in the past, but now it just seems to be the extra-attractive girls who are completley out of my league. I will say that i'm not completley shallow, as personality is still important to me. I wouldn't want to be married to some attractive girl who thinks Africa is a country or is a horrible person etc.
I really don't think the media helps one bit. It seems to represent the 'perfect partner' as thin, long blonde hair, perfect body etc. Same goes for the representation of males (i.e. big muscles etc).
Its definatly not wrong to find celebrities attractive. For me, its people like Emma Roberts, Dianna Agron, Pixie Lott (I think only people from the Uk know who she is) etc. Theres nothing wrong with liking these people, its just I seem to want people exactly like them, and I hope I won't end up only wanting to date someone so far out of my league.
Does anyone else feel they have incredibly high expectations? I just feel so stupidly shallow. Maybe its just because i'm just some hormonal teenager, but hopefully I will get better as I get older.
