Does anyone else feel like they're the only one not in a relationship? It's not like I mind being single, I'm only fifteen so I don't really see the need to be in a relationship, nor do I really want to be. But it seems like every single person at school is in a relationship, and after awhile it gets annoying.

Is there no one left who doesn't mind being single? Is it really such a must to constantly have someone's hand to hold in the hallways and to stand super close to between classes? Is there like this huge amazing thing about relationships that makes them impossible for some people not to be in? What's really so special about them?

I've never been in a relationship, and I can't get over the fact that some people would probably consider me a freak for that. I just don't care whether or not I'm dating anyone. Seriously, am I the only 'insane' one? xD

Some people just want a close friend, a friend they can trust, a friend that will experience everything with them, every most intimate thing possible between people.

That friend, is their boyfriend or girlfriend.

I have felt that way before. Now I don't mind being single. I'm only 13 so dating isn't important but sometimes I wish I had a boyfriend. I think feeling like your the only one single is normal. Your not the only one.

most of my friends are single, but my best friend has a girlfriend. the fact that he's my best friend is what makes his having a gf bad. he's always doing stuff with her outside school. as for myself, i'm fine being single.

Enjoy being single. Dont fret if all of your friends had boyfriends. youre lucky enough because you can have all the fun in your teenage years.

This.

I welcome the idea of a lifelong companion.

But I don't want a romantic relationship. Emphasis on the 'romantic'. There is a distinct difference.

Well when I was single, I just didn't want to go to prom alone, didn't want to spend my weekends at home playing games, didn't want to get left out cos of peer pressure. I wanted my friends to be envious of my girl, but at the same time, i knew i'd never have a good, long relationship, not while i was still in school. I used to be one of those people saying 'why bother, it always ends in tears', now i'm dating someone who is known to be the one of hottest girl in my grade (you know, the type that guys will make sexual comments about, yes her).

No, you're not insane. XD

Everybody has a relationship at school it seems. It pretty much ends up like this:

"Hey, are you still dating her?"
"No, we broke up"
"How long were you together?"
"A week."

I'm perfectly fine being single. XD
