Why is she like this to me?

I met this girl last July
it started out as just some simple chatting but now we're somewhat friends
I found out last September that she used to like me
but anyway
whenever I talk to her it's like she's always asking me for advice about people, boys ( I don't really know why), Since I'm in 7th grade and she's in 6th if she likes someone in my batch she would usually ask about him and I always try to make her feel better when she's feeling down
here's what I don't get: Wouldn't you usually ask for advice from your closest friends?
in school I see her her group isn't that big just 2 or 3 people but she has a guy best friend (I think) and me I'm not really that close to her just somewhere in between acquaintance and friends so I'm wondering why she goes to me for advice

She probably thinks that you're trustworthy, or she just likes the advice you give her. If she's asking about boys, that could also be some ploy to make you jealous, but really her intentions can't be dissected correctly unless you can get into her mind, or she tells you why.

Do you like her too? If you do, it's a good sign that she's coming to you and not this guy friend of hers.

But, also, I'm guessing she's 12, and then you're 13. Pretty young to be thinking about that, eh? XD Joking.
